Booking Information

Our sixteen rooms are all available for double or twin occupancy and there are several family suites.

Rates vary according to the time of week and year, the size of the room, and its location. Single rates are offered Sunday to Thursday nights for most of our rooms. Rates include VAT and a substantial continental buffet breakfast.

All bedrooms are en suite and non-smoking, with minibar, telephone, flat-screen digital TV, and tea- and coffee-making facilities.

Check-in from 2pm unless by prior arrangement, check-out before 11am (11.30am on Sundays and Bank Holidays).

Limited private off road parking nearby is normally available if reserved in advance at a charge of £17.50 per night. N.B. This will increase to £20 from 29th of April 2016.  We also offer parking free of charge in a private off road area approximately six minutes’ walk from the hotel. All parking is solely for hotel guests.

We accept Visa, MasterCard and American Express for reservations and payment. A 2% handling charge is added to credit card payments. Cheques are no longer accepted apart from sterling travellers cheques, with Photo ID. Guests wishing to pay by cash at the hotel on arrival and are unable to supply card details to guarantee their booking will be required to pay in full on check-in plus a further night's payment as a security deposit. Booking and Cancellation Policies

 

A Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or UK-issued debit card, is required for a reservation of up to 2 rooms. To book three or more rooms a deposit is required see details below. We do accept cheques but only in lieu with deposits.

 

Cancellations for Standard bookings Winter and Spring 2016

The full charge of your accommodation will be charged if you cancel in less than 48 hours, (after 7am, Oxford local time), prior to your arrival date. Cancellations received less than one week prior to arrival, but before 7am two-days prior to arrival, incur a charge of £50 per night, or 50% of the nightly rate if this is greater.

 

Cancellations of Summer bookings between May and September 2016

To cancel a booking which includes a Friday and Saturday night, and all bookings between 1st of June 2016 and 31st of July 2016 please inform us by 7am, Oxford local time, 14 days prior to your arrival date to avoid the full cancellation charges being debited to your card account. Pre Authorisation : 14 days prior to your arrival date a hold will be placed on your card account for the full anticipated amount owed to the hotel, including parking charges and a 2% service charge for credit card payments. In the event of another form of payment being used on check out the hold will be released but may not be returned to your account for at least 72 working hours, or longer, at the discretion of your card issuing bank.

 

Group Bookings 3–8 Rooms

To reserve between three and eight rooms a non-refundable deposit of £50 per room per night, or 50% if greater, must be paid no later than eight weeks before the arrival date or within four weeks of the initial enquiry if this is more than eight weeks. N.B. A minimum three night stay is requird for bookings of five or more rooms for weekends in June and July 2016.Individual bookings which form part of an original group or block booking enquiry but are being guaranteed by personal card details in lieu of a deposit are subject to the group/block booking and cancellation policies and will incur full charges when cancelled within four weeks of the arrival date unless the room can be re-let.

 

Block Bookings 9–16 Rooms

To reserve nine or more rooms a non-refundable deposit of £50 per room per night, or 50% if greater, must be paid no later than twelve weeks before the arrival date or within four weeks of the initial enquiry if this is more than twelve weeks. A minimum of three night stays are required for all weekend block bookings during the period covered by the summer tariff. In the event of only two nights being required the third night will be refunded if the room can be re-let. Rooms booked for group and block bookings will only be held without a deposit for a maximum of four weeks from the date of the initial enquiry at which point rooms will be released for resale if the deposit has not been paid. The balance of all group and block booking reservations must be paid four weeks prior to the arrival date and is non-refundable unless the rooms can be re-let.

 

Discounted Bookings

If following confirmation, the number of discounted rooms or nights booked is reduced the discounted rate will no longer apply and the rate according to the current tariff will be charged.

 

Third Party Bookings

When accommodation is reserved by a third party, cancellation charges automatically become the responsibility of the third party.

 

Account Payments

Bookings for payment on account will not be confirmed until the hotel has received acceptance of liability of full payment due, and/or cancellation charges if applicable, of all accommodation reserved by the third party/company. Accounts must be settled within seven days of date of invoice for one to two rooms. For group and block booking payments see details above

 

Long stays

For bookings of seven nights or more different booking and cancellation policies apply. Please enquire for further information.

 

Please contact us immediately if you need to alter your booking in any way as failure to do so will be deemed as acceptance of the booking as set out on the confirmation sheet and the above conditions. All amendments or cancellations must be confirmed by you in writing: email is acceptable. We respectfully remind guests that a reservation made verbally or in writing constitutes a legal contract between themselves and Bath Place Hotel and our booking and cancellation policies will be strictly enforced.


WEB BOOKINGS
Bookings made via the website “Book On Line” facility are usually at a higher rate than bookings made directly with the hotel by email or telephone.
